What is FOSS?
FOSS Server Project is a not-for-profit effort to bring Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) servers to places in the world which have limited Information Technology resources and opportunities.
Organized as a not-for-profit organization in North America, donations and support from around the world is received and used to support micro-investment projects with partners in the developing world. This FOSS Server project is organized around the principle that free, people-to-people exchanges of ideas, technology and know-how is the best way to offer people in undeveloped parts of the world the best that new Information Technology has to offer.

United States Federal Tax Exempt Status:
The Veritas FOSS Server Association is registered as a charitable, tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code of the United States of America.
Registered Purpose: The Veritas FOSS Server Association is organized for charitable, education, scientific and research purposes related to the use and study of Free and Open Source Software and related servers, applications and technology within the meaning of these purposes established for tax-exempt organizations under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code of the United States of America.
Notice: Annual financial statements are available upon written request from the Office of Consumer Affairs of the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Persons subject to Federal Income under the United States Internal Revenue Code must obtain a receipt for any single donation having a value greater than US$250.00 before the donation can be claimed as tax-exempt. If you have completed a donation from this page of funds in excess of this amount or of equipment having a fair market value in excess of this amount, you may request a tax-deductible receipt by choosing the link above or e-mailing a request to donate@veriserver.net. Please include all information which will help identify the donation including donors name, Pay Pal account name (if applicable), e-mail address, amount and date of the donation.
